Load Verifier
This module calculates operational and installation loads along the length of the pipe following the ASTM F1962 methodology for plastic pipe and PRCI for steel pipe. Typical design values suggested by these documents are included as an option to the less experienced user. Pressures on the pipe, deflection of the pipe, pullback forces and stress/strains are all calculated in this tool and full graphical capabilities are incorporated with it. Alternate models for force and or bore conditions are also implemented. The effects of using rollers or adding ballast to the pipe is also considered and may be changed at any step to determine potential benefits of using these features. Finally, this tool checks to see the calculated forces/deflections are within the limits of acceptable design criteria based upon the ASTM F1962 or PRCI guidelines.
